A new University of Kentucky Core class sets out to prove that in fact you can use advanced mathematical applications to solve real world problems.

The National Conference on Undergraduate Research will bring nearly 4,000 additional students from across the country to the UK campus where they will present their research and creative endeavors while meeting other like-minded students.

T J Flynn and Josiah Hanna will each be awarded a $10,000 Astronaut Scholarship on Wednesday, October 23.
